The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

My Penn State success story started when I began working for Penn State at The DuBois Campus as the Secretary for the Dean of Student Affairs, Dean Hayes Chambers, in 1969. He was a wonderful boss who encouraged me through word-related assignments and educational opportunities. After accumulating 40 credits through continuing education classes(paying only $17.25 for a 3-credit course), I transferred to University Park and completed my BS degree in Business Education graduating the Summer of 1974. After finishing my BS degree, I applied and received an assistantship for an M.Ed. in Vocational Industrial education. I graduated the summer of 1976, met my future husband, and got married in 1977. We were fortunate to both find jobs in State College and have lived here and enjoyed the lifestyle of living in a college town. All of our friends we went to Penn State with are really jealous! Penn State will always be No. 1 in my heart!
